Fragile

function: cutlery
size: 36x36cms
material: 2 versions (Glazed porcelain / Glass)

1.
Living in Japan, I experience everyday the pleasure of eating with chopsticks. And sometimes I remind in the western world, people use to eat with cutlery. The peticular point I like about chopsticks, is that it can lead you to eat carefully, slowing the time of a dinner.
This fragile project focuses on the fragile characteristics of 2 materials (porcelain and glass). Both glass and porcelain are two materials processed by high temperature heating, that transform them into hard and fragile materials. But, they are both known as well to have soft touch and excellent cutting characteristics.
These Fragile cutlery reminds you to eat carefully, slowing the time, they help you to enjoy more your dishes.

2.
The two versions are casted products (casted galze porcelain and casted glas).

3.
Eat carefully, enjoy the pleasure of eating.

"I Made a Diet Chair"

function: Chair
size: 350x380x800mms
prototype material: paper structure, FRP Resin, EVA foam

1.
There are so many chairs that have been made in the Design's History that as a Designer, when you want to design a new one, you just ask yourself this question: How to design a new one?
Since a long time, I love the superleggera chair of Gio Ponte, (the lightest chair so far in the world). And for a few years, Weights problems start to be important in the world (obesity, slim diets,É) so as a result of this thinking, I started to design the "I Made a Diet Chair", a chair that is light, visually but physically too.

2.
The prototype is made first with a 1mm paper cardboard structure that is then reinforced with extrafine fiberglass and FRP resin. The seat and the back are smoothened by a 5mm EVA foam cushion. The final product shall be produced in casted coated Fiberglass Resin and Eva foam cushions.

3.
The shape shall look as light as possible, yet strong enough you can sit on it.
