それぞれ大阪芸術大学を卒業後、同じデザイン設計事務所勤務となる。
2005年春SIDES CORE設立。これまでヘアサロン・ブライダルレストラン・住宅等の空間デザインを数多く手がける。
2010年春ミラノサローネサテリテに初出展しデザインリポートアワードを受賞。
2010年秋DESIGNTIDETOKYOに初出展。

"SIDES CORE" was founded by Sohei Arao and Sumiko Arao in 2005. Our company works both domestically and internationally, seeking the essence of things from various vantage points such as product design,interior design and architecture. SIDES CORE won the 2010 Milan Salone Satellite Design Report Award's Special Mention.
「FRAMES」はスチールの帯をひねることによって表裏が連続しさまざまな表情を見せる家具シリーズ。
ひねりの構造は強度を保ち、視点によって印象が変わります。
各アイテムは幾つかのフレームに分解できフラットパッキングが可能です。

Each frame of the chair beautifully articulates flow by employing front and rear torsion.
"FRAMES" shows the different sides of the material by successive twisting ofthe frame. When we look at something, we usually don't look at only one side.
Simple funiture using various frames, aspiring to change your gaze.
Each item can be taken apart for flat packing.
今春のミラノサローネでの［FRAMES_01/Chair］をはじめとしたプロダクトの発表は、空間をベースに活動してきたSIDES COREにとって初の展示会であり最大の「new action」
そこで生まれた海外メーカーとの新たな関係、DESIGNTIDE TOKYO 2010への初出展と「new action」の多かった2010年。
初参加のプロトタイプ展ではFRAMESのさらなる可能性を伝える新たなアイテム[FRAMES_02/table]、[FRAMES_03/stool]、[FRAMES_04/side table]を加え展示します。
SIDESCORE's main focus was space design until we first exhibited［FEAMES_01/Chair］in Milan Salone Satellite this past spring.
This exhibition was important for us as is [new action].
In this year, we have had so many opportunites like [new action].
A new relationship was born with a European manufacturer and we participated DESIGN TIDE TOKYO2010 this autumn.
At "PROTOTYPE04" we will introduce the new [FRAMES] collection.
In addition to [FRAMES_01/Chair] ,we will exhibit new items:[FRAMES_02/table],[FRAMES_03/stool] and[FRAMES_04/side table].
