old newspapers / old magazines

We felt that the job of storing old newspapers and magazines for recycling was an ideal place for design intervention.  This piece of furniture comes in sizes for A3 or A4, and is also suitable for storing paper stock or used copy paper.  Its unique design allows old papers to be bundled with string while they are sitting in the bin.  We are currently seeking a manufacturer.

Stacking glass

This prototype solves the problem of wine glasses taking up too much space during storage.  We did not develop this idea for a long time since it was very difficult to make solely from glass.  However, by using a special adhesive, we were able to create it by joining Kutani china to the wine glass and presented it as a gift at a wedding ceremony this year.  Future work will include size development, graphics for the china stem, and manufacturing.

ORIHASHI

These chopsticks were exhibited at an exhibition for products that use thin materials.  They can be separated very easily just by folding them and are ideal for children and the elderly who may have difficulty separating conventional disposable chopsticks.
