Through these objects, messiness is examined as a state of being in conflict with the rules set out by our furnishings. Normally undesirable characteristics of a disorganized environment are turned into welcome features. The shelf, table and lampshade adapt to the cluttered nature of the way we live, rather than force us to keep our lives neatly arranged in tidy square boxes. |
